PORTHCURNO REDEVELOPMENT - COMMUNITY CONSULTATION SUMMARY - Nov 07
Porthcurno Telegraph Museum isn't just a museum in Porthcurno, it's a part of Porthcurno - it doesn't just reflect the history of change in this valley and the role that this part of Cornwall has played in shaping global communications, the museum is also an important local employer, plays an important role in the local economy and has a great deal of land and property that local people and visitors alike enjoy.
Porthcurno Telegraph Museum is currently starting a process looking at how it can improve the museum and best use its site to ensure the long term future of the museum, heritage and education activities that it provides.
Whilst the museum development is still only at a stage where it is considering what options are available, in recognition of the important role that the Museum plays in the community, from the outset we wanted to get to know what local people wanted to see included in the redevelopment of the museum and site.
The document on this page available to download summarises the results of the first consultation session held in November 2007.
